Military Drinking

This is one of the big debates in the military. I have been in the military for over two years now and have not been allowed to legally drink. The way my comrades and i see it is if we die at the age of 18 we should be able to have a few brews in the local taverns.  What are your thoughts on this topic

  1. I agree with this. If I was in a place where my life would be ended i think it is only fair if i am allowed to experience drinking.

  2. I somewhat agree but at the same time I'm not to sure. It is the law for no drinking until your 21, but people barely ever follow that anyways. I agree though that if your life is in danger, why not drink. Go big or go home right?

  3. I agree totally. I’ve thought about that before. The country is willing to let you die for it but not willing to let you drink a beer. There’s something wrong with that. Do you need to be more mature to drink alcohol than to die for your country?

  5. Sometimes it sucks being underage, but thats the reality of it. When we took the oathof enlistment, you swore to obey the lawful orders of those officers over you. Its just how it is. Remember you have chosen to give up certain rights in order to serve. Just do your best and thank you for seerving!
